Anastasia Veber is a Berlin-based director and writer. The graduation short film Trap won the Golden Bear — Best Short Film, Berlinale — and premiered on Rover. Participant in Cannes Residency, Torino ScriptLab, Torino Next, and Less is More. FFA Script Development Fund grantee. Holds degrees in screenwriting and directing. Outside directing, Anastasia works as script consultant and co-writer, leads workshops across Europe, and curates educational programs for the festivals.

I've been teaching for over ten years — as a tutor in a film school directing programme, through workshops across Europe, and working one-on-one with more than thirty filmmakers worldwide.
My students write again after long breaks. They get into labs. Some change their project entirely and come back a year later — on a different level.
I work on scripts and on careers: one session or ongoing mentorship. Everything is online. My approach is personal — I get genuinely absorbed in projects, ideas, and people, and I try to give the kind of fuel that actually moves something.

Prices are a reference point — format and scope are discussed after the call. Installments available in 2–3 parts.
Substantial discounts for independent filmmakers from at-risk groups (queer filmmakers, refugees, and others). Mention it when you write.
Prices include 19% VAT. Reverse charge applies for EU business clients with a valid VAT-ID.

What does a consultation with you actually include?
It starts before the call. I read your materials in full — script, treatment, logline, or career background — and prepare written notes. We then spend the call working through what matters most: structure, character, logic, or whatever is stuck. After the session you get a written summary. The conversation is the main event; the notes are what you come back to.
I'm not sure what I need — how do I choose?
Get in touch and tell me where you are. You don't need to know exactly what you want — describe what feels stuck. I'll read it and point you to the right next step. It's the beginning of a conversation, not a test.
Are installments available?
Yes — any service can be split into 2 or 3 payments. Just mention it when you get in touch or write to me directly.
Can I try and cancel if it's not a good fit?
For Jump In sessions: the fee applies to the full session, but if something felt off, write to me and we'll work it out. For mentorship: the first session is a natural checkpoint — if it's not clicking for either of us, we stop there and you pay only for what happened.
What will I actually have at the end?
Quick Read: written notes with a prioritised next step. Jump In: written notes before the call, a structured summary document after. Mentorship: notes after each session, plus a project or career roadmap built across our two months together. Everything in writing.
How and where do consultations happen?
Online — Zoom or Google Meet, your choice. For script consultations: share your PDF at least 48 hours before the session. For career consultations: a short paragraph on where you are is enough to start. Sessions run the full time you booked.
